This presentation will provide an overview of how diagnostic laboratory data can be used to provide a deeper level of understanding of patients when conducting Health Economic or Outcomes studies using secondary data. In addition to the overview, a use case will be presented by Amgen that details how diagnostic lab data was used to characterize patients selected for treatment with lipid lowering therapies and the additional value they gained through having this included in their research.
